Live Contests

Contestants MUST pre-register in order to participate in any Live Cooking Contest no later than Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. Contestants who show up for any live cooking contest(s) in which they have not pre-registered will not be allowed to participate in the contest(s). Contestants may register for Live Cooking Contest by doing one of the following:

Online Registration – Contestants may register online at www.alnationalfair.org, under the “Register Here” link. Deadline for online registration is Sunday, Sept. 13, 2026.

During Early Entry Registration – Contestants may register at the CLC during the dates and times when early entries are being accepted (dates & times are listed under the adult and youth early entry links).

Competitors registered for any Live Cooking Contest must purchase a “Competitor’s Pass” at the time of registration. One pass is good for all Live Cooking Contests. Each Competitor’s Pass is $20.00 (check or cash only) and includes parking (see CLC Rule #17).
